Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken

Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken is a popular Chinese dish that is surprisingly easy to make at home. The chicken is battered and deep-fried, then coated in a sweet and sour sauce that is made with pineapple juice, sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, white vinegar, cornstarch, and red food coloring.

To make the chicken, simply cut the chicken breasts into bite-size pieces and coat them in tempura batter. Then, deep-fry the chicken in oil until it is golden brown and cooked through.

To make the sweet and sour sauce, combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the sauce is boiling and thickened. Then, in a fry pan, heat some oil and add the diced red bell pepper and pineapple. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender. Add the chicken and sweet and sour sauce to the fry pan and cook until everything is heated through. Serve immediately with rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
