Stir Fry Chow Mein Noodle
Stir Fry Chow Mein Noodle is a beloved traditional Chinese dish featuring crispy noodles complemented by a savory vegetable stir fry. This recipe holds a special place as one of the all-time favorites for many, thanks to its delectable combination of flavors and textures.
To prepare this dish, you’ll need half a package of fresh miki or chow mein noodles, along with sliced cabbage, thinly sliced onion, carrot, meat (of your choice), bean sprouts, chopped garlic, and green onions. These ingredients come together to create a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.
The sauce for the stir fry is a crucial component, comprising soy sauce, Yoshida sauce (which can be found at Costco), oyster sauce, sesame oil, and chicken broth. This mixture provides the dish with its signature savory and aromatic profile.
To cook the Stir Fry Chow Mein Noodle, heat oil in a wok until it’s hot, then add the chopped garlic and stir-fry until it turns brown, infusing the oil with aromatic flavors. Next, add the sliced carrot and cook until tender before incorporating the chosen meat and cooking until it is no longer pink. Cabbage and onion are then added and stir-fried until they reach a tender consistency.
The pre-cooked noodles are introduced to the wok, and the prepared sauce is poured over them. The mixture is stirred well to ensure that the noodles are evenly coated and heated. Green onions are added for a fresh and aromatic touch. To finish, bean sprouts are incorporated last to maintain their crispness and texture.
The result is a delightful Stir Fry Chow Mein Noodle dish that boasts a satisfying crunch from the crispy noodles, complemented by a flavorful and aromatic vegetable stir fry. This recipe captures the essence of traditional Chinese cuisine and offers a comforting and delicious meal option for all to enjoy.
