Stir Fry Almond Chicken Recipe

Stir Fry Almond Chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick and healthy meal. The chicken is marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, and pepper flakes (optional) for at least one hour, then stir-fried with vegetables and almonds. Serve the dish with steamed rice and enjoy!

To make Stir Fry Almond Chicken, start by marinating the chicken. In a bowl, combine the chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, garlic, and pepper flakes (optional). Mix well to coat the chicken in the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour, or overnight.

Once the chicken is marinated, heat a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the oil to the pan, then add the chicken and carrot. Stir-fry for about 3 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink and the carrot is softened.

Add the celery, chicken broth or water, and white onion to the pan. Stir-fry until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender. Turn off the heat and add the toasted almonds and green onion to the pan. Stir to combine. Serve immediately with steamed rice.

Ingredients

1 lb of chicken cut or slices to bite size
1 ½ tablespoon of soy sauce
2 tablespoon of oyster sauce
1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
1 tablespoon of sugar
2 cloves of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of pepper flake for spicy stir fry (optional)
Marinate for 1 hour

For the vegetable

1 stalk of celery thinly slices
1/4 of white onion thinly slices
1 small carrot thinly slices
1/3 to 1/2 cup of toasted almond
1/3 to 1/2 cup of no salt chicken broth or water
1 green onion cut to small pieces
2 tablespoon of oil for stir fry

Directions to make Stir Fry Almond Chicken Recipe

  1. Heat a wok or fry pan until hot
  2. Add oil to pan then add the marinate chicken (all the marinate liquid) and carrot stir fry for about 3 minutes until all the marinate liquid gone and the chicken is no longer pink, but still not cook yet
  3. Now add celery and some chicken broth or water to pan mix well stir fry until the chicken is almost done then add white onion mix well, continue to cook until the chicken is done.
  4. Turn the heat off now adds toasted almond and green onion to pan and mix well.

Serve hot with steam rice. You can also use cashew nut for this recipe
