A good knife makes cooking easier. A dull knife makes it frustrating. For anyone who cooks Cambodian or Southeast Asian food at home, having the right knives matters — whether you are slicing lemongrass, mincing garlic, or cutting through a thick cut of meat. This Henckels Statement 15-piece set brings together a chef’s knife, santoku knives, a bread knife, steak knives, and more in one package. It is a practical option for home cooks who want a complete set without hunting for individual pieces. If you are building or rebuilding your kitchen tools, this set is worth a closer look.
Product Summary
This is a 15-piece knife block set from Henckels. It includes a chef's knife, santoku knives, a bread knife, paring knife, serrated utility knife, six steak knives, kitchen shears, a sharpening steel, and a hardwood block. The blades are made from stainless steel and the set is dishwasher safe.
Why We Recommend It
CambodiaRecipe selected this set because it gives a home cook a wide range of knives for everyday prep work. The santoku knives are useful for mincing herbs and garlic, and the chef's knife handles vegetables and meats. The set is lightweight, dishwasher safe, and comes with a honing steel to help maintain the edges. It is a practical choice for anyone building a kitchen from scratch or replacing an old set.
Best For
This set is best for US home cooks who want a complete knife collection without buying each knife separately. It suits beginners and everyday cooks who prepare vegetables, herbs, meats, and other ingredients. It may also appeal to people who cook Cambodian or Southeast Asian food and need knives for mincing aromatics and slicing ingredients.
Things to Consider
This is a stamped knife set, which makes the blades lighter than forged knives but not as heavy. The block takes up counter space, and the set includes six steak knives that may not be needed by every household. The blades are dishwasher safe, but hand washing may help maintain sharpness over time. The set does not include a dedicated carving knife or a utility knife beyond the serrated one.
