hourMarinate the chicken
2 breasts 2 about 1lb (900 gram) of chicken cut the meat to bite site
1 teaspoon 1 chicken bouillon powder
1/2 teaspoon 1/2 sesame oil
1 teaspoon 1 soy sauce
1 tablespoon 1 rice wine or sherry
Dash white pepper
Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
- For the batter
1/2 cup 1/2 flour
1 teaspoon 1 baking powder
½ teaspoon of baking soda
2/3 cup 2/3 water (adjusts water to thick or thins the batter)
4 tablespoon 4 cornstarch
1 tablespoon 1 vegetable oil
Mix everything in a bowl and set aside. (I use store bought tempura powder)
- For the sauce
3 tablespoon 3 honey
2 tablespoon 2 sugar
2 tablespoon 2 ketchup
1 tablespoon 1 vinegar
1 tablespoon 1 soy sauce
1 teaspoon 1 chili paste for spicy (optional)
Mix them all in a bowl and set aside.
Directions
- Add 3 cup of vegetable oil in a wok and turn the heat to medium high,
- Take the marinate chicken and coat it with batter or tempura mix.
- Deep fry the chicken for 4 minutes or till golden brown, take the chicken out and set it on paper towel.
- In the same work leave 1 tablespoon of oil and fry the garlic till brown
- Add the sauce mix heat it till boiling
- Add the cook chicken mix well on low heat
- Turn the heat off add green onion
- Garnish your chicken with sesame seeds
