Popular and unique recipe of sweet mung bean with sea weed that could serves hot, warm for dessert or ice cold for refreshment.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried mung bean, soaked for 4 hours, rinsed and drained

  • 1 fresh or frozen panda leaf

  • 9 cups water

  • 1/2 cup dried sea weed, soaked in cold water, rinsed and drained

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup palm sugar or light brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • In a large pot, put mung beans with pandan leaf and water, cook till beans tender.
  • Add sea weed, sugar, palm sugar and salt, stirs till the sugar dissolved, continue to cook till water bubbling.
  • Turn of the heat and let it cool off before serve.
  • Add ice cubes when serve.
