Lemon Grass Sauce

Khmer country food, sweet, sour and spicy fish sauce with lemon grass is delicious for dipping meat or fish. It is easy to make.


1/3 cup of hot water
1/3 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of fresh lime juice (approx 2 limes)
1/3 cup of fish sauce
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/4 cup of fresh or frozen minced lemon grass
2 chopped hot chili pepper, or to your taste (option)

Directions to make Lemon Grass Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, mix hot water with sugar till sugar dissolved.
  2. Add lime juice, fish sauce, garlic, lemon grass and pepper, stirs well before serve.
