Spices Beef Rub and Avocado Salsa
The Spices Beef Rub and Avocado Salsa recipe offers a flavorful combination that’s perfect for enhancing the taste of grilled or dry beef. The rub, made from a blend of cumin, black pepper, red pepper flakes (or Thai hot red crushed pepper), ground coriander, chili powder, and cinnamon, imparts a delicious flavor to any cut of meat. This versatile rub can be stored in a clean jar or zipper bag at room temperature for later use, making it a convenient addition to your pantry. It can be prepared in advance, allowing for easy meal preparation in the future.
To prepare the beef, simply mix the spices together and rub them onto the flank steak, allowing it to marinate for about an hour. Grill the steak on medium-high heat for approximately 4 minutes on each side, ensuring it is cooked to your desired level of doneness. It’s important to avoid overcooking and burning the steak. Once done, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes, covering it with foil to keep it warm.
The Avocado Salsa complements the spiced beef rub beautifully. It consists of sliced avocado, chopped onion, tomato, garlic, cilantro, cumin, black pepper, lime juice, olive oil, and salt to taste. The combination of these fresh ingredients creates a vibrant and flavorful salsa that pairs wonderfully with the grilled beef. This salsa can be prepared alongside the beef rub or in advance, offering a delightful topping for the cooked steak.
Overall, the Spices Beef Rub and Avocado Salsa recipe provides a simple yet delectable way to elevate your beef dishes. The rub’s combination of spices adds depth and richness to the meat, while the avocado salsa brings a refreshing and zesty contrast.
